“Look Before Snapping?”

During my senior high school years, I commuted to the course in Pramuka by bus. One day, after I got on the bus in the bus stop, I decided to sit next to a man and a nice-looking old lady who was wearing a kebaya. Not long afterwards, we were wrapped in thick smoke. I couldn’t believe that someone still dared to smoke despite the smoking rule in public places. Feeling upset, I turned to the man and snapped at him, “Sir, if you want to smoke, please, do it somewhere else!” just then I saw that the man was covering his nose with his shirt. Ouch! I appeared that the one smoking was the old lady, not the man. Feeling guilty and embarassed, I quickly apologized to the man and moved away. I promised to myself next time I would be more careful before saying anything.

“A Phony Phone Call”

I was busy doing my homework in my bedroom when I heard the ringing of the phone in the family room next to my bed room. I was annoyed because my brother, who was with his schoolmates in the family room, didn’t bother to pick up the phone. It seemed that he and his friends kept on watching a program TV, which stood near the phone tabe. So I stood up and hurriedly headed for the family room to answer the phone. I used my left hand to pick up the receiver and my right hand to turn down the TV volume. Suddenly, the room turned very quiet. “Hello,” I said, but there was no answer, then my bro said, “what are you doing here? It’s not the phonr. It’s my friend’s digicam. We’re creating a skit on that TV show right now for our school project!” I was vey embarrassed!
